It's a novel by Elif Shafak. Book jacket came into existence as a combination of hand drawn and recycled elements.

A novel, written by Colum McCann. Cover design started with a photo. Everything else was built around it. A layer of UV lacquer goes all the way round the book jacket, with the exception of a floral pattern area (which, of course, cannot be seen above:).

Illustration Friday: Intricate

It may seem a bit repetitive, but the illustration from my previous post fits so well to this week's IF topic ... It's a scene from the book by Evald Flisar, in which Alice - together with her uncle - takes her first ride in an intricate, rattling vehicle from Crazyland.

Laž in njen ženin

As usual ... I'm showing off my work. However, this witty pretty illustration is created by someone else - Ana Razpotnik Donati, a girl of great talent. I did the handwriting part.
